  • Virtual Support Groups with Mental Health Professionals

We optimize technology to provide a safe virtual space where individuals can join zoom meetings with Mental Health professionals anonymously. These zoom meetings are completely free and serve as a support group to those who wish to learn and share their feelings, thoughts, and experiences. We believe that raising awareness through this educational space can prevent teens and adults from going down the path of substance abuse, normalizing verbal, physical, and sexual abuse, and not speaking out when having suicidal thoughts.

  • One-on-one consultations with Mental Health Professionals.

English and Spanish-speaking individuals of all socio-economic backgrounds needing emotional and mental health support deserve to have the opportunity to talk to professionals. Depending on funding, Orchids of Hope is able to pay for those one-on-one consultations and offer vulnerable populations the assistance they need before it is too late. Individuals build trust with the mental health professionals that partner with us through our virtual support groups and seek additional one-on-one assistance if needed.

Volunteering

Our volunteers can help in numerous ways. If you are a mental health coach, counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, or a professional in the mental health field, you can contribute enormously by leading our zoom meetings or by providing our participants one on one services.

We also need volunteers to help us spread the word about our organization, and assisting us during community events and fundraisers.

Orchids of Hope

Orchids of Hope was founded by Esmeralda Barron, a community leader and child abuse advocate from Hallsville, Tx. Many years ago, Esmeralda was a victim of abuse and battled with addictions. Her personal experience and the tragic stories of others that she helped along the way motivated her to start “Orchids of Hope”, and provide Spanish and English speakers of all ages, backgrounds, and locations, the opportunities that she would have liked to have had in the past.

Our organization partners with Bilingual (English and Spanish) Mental Health professionals to provide individuals of all ages the opportunity to learn about suicide, abuse, and addiction prevention regardless of their location. Additionally and depending on funding, we may also be able to provide individuals in-person or virtual, one-on-one counseling services.
