**What is FAYS?**

The Family And Youth Success (FAYS) Program offers free, preventative short-term services for youth and their families. In addition to assisting youth and their families in mastering new skills through skills-based training, our staff helps to improve attendance in school, to reduce the occurrence of running away, lessen family conflict, and cut delinquent behavior. Our main goal is to keep families together by strengthening and stabilizing family unity. FAYS also offers Universal Child Abuse Prevention information and workshops.

El Programa de Éxito Familiar y Juvenil (FAYS) ofrece servicios gratuitos de prevención a corto plazo para jóvenes y sus familias. Además de ayudar a los jóvenes y sus familias a dominar nuevas habilidades mediante capacitación basada en habilidades, nuestro personal ayuda a mejorar la asistencia a la escuela, a reducir la incidencia de fugas de la familia, a disminuir los conflictos familiares y a reducir la conducta delictiva. Nuestro objetivo principal es mantener unidas a las familias fortaleciendo y estabilizando la unidad familiar. At Community Healthcore, we provide a place for recovery, resilience, and help empower individuals to reach their life goals.

We offer mental, emotional, and behavioral health services to East Texas residents.

By promoting dignity, our programs enable adults to live more independent and productive lives, children to be more resilient, and families to be healthier.

Through multiple East Texas locations, we have clinicians serving communities in 23 counties. They provide treatment, prevention, and outreach services to more than 16,000 children, families, and adults each year. Our various outreach locations also give us the ability to collaborate with community partners and school districts all across East Texas.

Community Healthcore is proudly certified as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) as we provide a comprehensive collection of services needed to create access, stabilize people in crisis, and provide the necessary treatment for those with the most serious, complex mental illnesses and substance use disorders in our communities.

As a Joint Commission Accredited Behavioral Health Care organization, we are committed to providing safe, high quality care, treatment, and services to everyone we serve.

At Axia’s Pregnancy Resource Center or its Mobile Center, pregnant women finds immediate support and compassionate guidance to help her with her first steps.

Located in the Axia Center across from Tyler Junior College or at various locations where Axia’s Mobile Center parks, The Pregnancy Resource Center offers: 
- Free pregnancy tests
- Supportive help to women facing the first moment of a positive pregnancy test
- Free ultrasound is available by appointment. These ultrasounds drastically increase the survival rate of the unborn child. 
- Community volunteers ready with support, guidance, and resources.
- Better2gether program which provides free support to pregnant women through Childbirth Classes and Doula Care.

Our mobile pregnancy center travels across East Texas, bringing the free services of AXIA to your community. We offer the same Axia pregnancy testing and early ultrasound on board a mobile unit. We are able to help you connect to resources right in your own community. For your convenience we are serving you at various locations and on weekends. En el Centro de recursos para el embarazo de Axia o en su Centro móvil, las mujeres embarazadas encuentran apoyo inmediato y orientación compasiva para ayudarla con sus primeros pasos.

Ubicado en el Centro Axia frente a Tyler Junior College o en varios lugares donde se estaciona el Centro Móvil de Axia, el Centro de Recursos para el Embarazo ofrece:
- Pruebas de embarazo gratuitas

The Axia Center and Mobile Center

**Our Story**

In 1982, YWAM missionary and visionary leader,  Beverly Kline, met a Tyler teenager who was fearful that she might be pregnant.  In seeking help for this young lady, Bev was directed by the health department to an 800 number for a free pregnancy test. Bev soon learned that the free test was provided by a Dallas abortion clinic, which utilized a local Tyler laboratory, that ultimately provided the lead for an abortion sale.  

Little did anyone know, that that one inquiry would result in closing the door to that clinic’s abortion access in Tyler! Since then, more than 40,000 free tests have been administered by Tyler’s Living Alternatives Pregnancy Resource Center.  Today, in addition to pregnancy testing, the Center also performs free sonograms which drastically increases the survival rate of the unborn child. The Center’s Building Blocks program continues to minister to the women after a confirmed pregnancy with individual parent mentoring, childbirth education and doula services, to ensure the safe arrival of the baby. 

Fatherheart Maternity Home has provided more than 600 young women safe haven to mend the past and move into the future with a renewed hope. Babies are a great start to a new beginning. For many of the girls, a new beginning starts with an adoptive family for her baby, facilitated by the ministry’s Loving Alternative Adoption Agency.  More than 200 birthmothers have made the loving and sacrificial choice to prepare an adoption plan, and placed their precious baby into the arms of trusted adoptive parents. 

Loving Alternatives was also honored to utilize its agency license for a season, by helping the Smith County Family Court find Christian families for 100 children who were waiting in foster homes for an adoption. This ministry is called ForThe1.

Statistics tell us that many girls who age out of the Foster system are at a higher risk for trafficking and unplanned pregnancies. KEEPS Boutique combats these statistics by providing a unique shopping experience for teen girls in the State foster care system. This free shopping experience enables personal connection through “girls’ nights out” events, and a summer camp experience. Through these brief but impacting encounters the girls experience the touch of the Father’s love as the staff welcome them with warm embraces.  

The flagship of all the Living Alternatives ministries is the Pregnancy Resource Center.  The PRC is the where the heartbeat of Living Alternatives emanates from, and this heart is ENLARGING.  In partnership with the community, 1.2 million dollars was raised for a state-of-the-art facility called The AXIA Center that allowed Living Alternatives to reach more women in even more effective ways. Free pregnancy testing and sonograms are tools utilized to reach the target audience of abortion-vulnerable women with hope – and help – to make life changing decisions for their unborn child and their future.

**Providing Hope in Tyler**

In 2015 the Hiway 80 Rescue Mission extended its reach into Tyler with the Gateway to Hope. At our Tyler day care center we provide access to showers, laundry, haircuts, phone, mail, and a computer for those in need. Throughout the week different volunteers come to help by distributing supplies, assisting guests on the computers, cutting hair, sharing the Lord, or sometimes just taking time to be an encouragement and a friendly ear to listen.

**Brindando Esperanza en Tyler**

En 2015, la Misión de Rescate Hiway 80 extendió su alcance a Tyler con el Gateway to Hope. En nuestro centro de cuidado diurno en Tyler, brindamos acceso a duchas, lavandería, cortes de cabello, teléfono, correo y una computadora para aquellos que lo necesitan. A lo largo de la semana, diferentes voluntarios vienen a ayudar distribuyendo suministros, asistiendo a los huéspedes en las computadoras, cortando el cabello, compartiendo la palabra del Señor o a veces simplemente tomando tiempo para ser un estímulo y un oído amigable para escuchar.

**Loving Others as Christ Commanded**

In 1955 the Hiway 80 Rescue Mission was established to provide food and shelter, and to share the gospel with homeless men in Longview. For over 65 years God has helped us grow this ministry to include an emergency shelter for women and families in Longview as well as two campuses in Tyler.

We feature Christ-centered recovery programs, and community outreach services. Through the New Creation Discipleship program, we teach people about Christ’s love and commands, arming them with the tools they need to overcome addictions, abusive situations, and many other difficulties they face in life. After completing the 10-month program, services are provided to assist them with achieving self-sufficiency.

Through Case Management, we assist homeless men and women in identifying and overcoming the obstacles that are keeping them in homelessness. Our case management team works with the individuals to create a plan to address those obstacles, secure and budget an income and locate healthy and appropriate housing.

What started in one, small building now spans 4 campuses in Longview and Tyler.

Dating back to 2003, Wayne Powell, Civitas Senior Living Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, was starting to reimagine senior living. His vision was to establish communities where residents flourished with happiness and employees were deeply passionate, all while embodying a spirit of service and compassion. Wayne took this opportunity to create what he and his team saw was missing from the senior living industry.

**The Story Begins**

Five people embarked on an extraordinary journey to launch their passion. Wayne, Jay, Misti, Cooper, and Amy’s shared vision, born from years of experience and deep empathy for seniors, became the driving force behind Civitas Senior Living.

Today, their dream fuels a dedicated team of 2,500+ individuals serving more than 5,000 seniors nationwide. From humble beginnings to managing over 30 premier communities, the Civitas Senior Living story is a testament to an unwavering commitment to seniors.
