The Area Agency on Aging of East Texas is designated by the Texas Health and Human Service Commission (HHSC) to coordinate services for persons in East Texas who are 60 or older, with particular attention to low-income minority older individuals, older individuals with limited-English proficiency, and older individuals residing in rural areas.

As our population ages, it is important to provide support services that enable our seniors to live according to their choice, independently and with dignity. With a new face accompanying this changing population, we constantly look for new and innovative ways to keep up with the fast-paced baby boomers. We encourage and support volunteer and community groups to get involved.

The Area Agency on Aging is a program of the East Texas Council of Governments serving Anderson, Camp, Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Marion, Panola, Rains, Rusk, Smith, Upshur, Van Zandt, and Wood counties.

**Mission:** 
We are part of a nationwide network coordinating supportive services for seniors as mandated by the Older Americans Act of 1965 and its subsequent amendments. Our programs are tailored to meet the social, nutritional, educational, and logistical needs of residents aged 60 years and older, caregivers, or individuals receiving Medicare, regardless of age. The AAA serves as the region’s leader in advocating and providing a variety of services, such as information and referral, benefits counseling, case management, health education classes, senior nutrition, housing repair, and advocating through the Ombudsman program for people in nursing and assisted living facilities. Operation True North is a 501c3 nonprofit located in Longview, Tx. We believe veterans and those who diligently serve our community have earned our support and respect. We are a faith-based organization that provides readily accessible counseling and trauma treatment for veterans, first responders, medical personnel, and their families. We are creating a strong community network that will help these individuals make the necessary connections to lead successful lives and bring healing to them and their families. Our goal is to provide services to those who have served or are serving our communities and our country. Our counselors have specific training and experiences that help establish a therapeutic connection with our clients.

**We accept several major insurances but also have cash pay rate and sliding fee scale.**

**Eligibility Requirements:** Must be a veteran, first responder, or medical worker or be related/have a close relationship with one.

**Areas we serve:** In person Longview and surrounding areas, we offer televideo counseling sessions for people living in Texas..

**On certain, we have bilingual staff on-site. Please call us ahead of time.**

We are also looking for volunteers to provide child care during our groups, or meals for our groups, or volunteer to help with our upcoming events. Operation True North es una organización sin fines de lucro 501c3 ubicada en Longview, Tx. Creemos que los veteranos y aquellos que sirven diligentemente a nuestra comunidad se han ganado nuestro apoyo y respeto. Somos una organización religiosa que brinda asesoramiento y tratamiento de traumas de fácil acceso para veteranos, socorristas, personal médico y sus familias. Estamos creando una red comunitaria sólida que ayudará a estas personas a establecer las conexiones necesarias para llevar una vida exitosa y brindarles sanación a ellos y a sus familias. Nuestro objetivo es brindar servicios a quienes han servido o están sirviendo a nuestras comunidades y a nuestro país. Nuestros consejeros tienen capacitación y experiencias específicas que ayudan a establecer una conexión terapéutica con nuestros clientes.

**What is FAYS?**

The Family And Youth Success (FAYS) Program offers free, preventative short-term services for youth and their families. In addition to assisting youth and their families in mastering new skills through skills-based training, our staff helps to improve attendance in school, to reduce the occurrence of running away, lessen family conflict, and cut delinquent behavior. Our main goal is to keep families together by strengthening and stabilizing family unity. FAYS also offers Universal Child Abuse Prevention information and workshops.

**¿Qué es FAYS?**

El Programa de Éxito Familiar y Juvenil (FAYS) ofrece servicios gratuitos de prevención a corto plazo para jóvenes y sus familias. Además de ayudar a los jóvenes y sus familias a dominar nuevas habilidades mediante capacitación basada en habilidades, nuestro personal ayuda a mejorar la asistencia a la escuela, a reducir la incidencia de fugas de la familia, a disminuir los conflictos familiares y a reducir la conducta delictiva. Nuestro objetivo principal es mantener unidas a las familias fortaleciendo y estabilizando la unidad familiar. FAYS también ofrece información y talleres sobre prevención universal del abuso infantil.

At Community Healthcore, we provide a place for recovery, resilience, and help empower individuals to reach their life goals.

We offer mental, emotional, and behavioral health services to East Texas residents.

By promoting dignity, our programs enable adults to live more independent and productive lives, children to be more resilient, and families to be healthier.

Through multiple East Texas locations, we have clinicians serving communities in 23 counties. They provide treatment, prevention, and outreach services to more than 16,000 children, families, and adults each year. Our various outreach locations also give us the ability to collaborate with community partners and school districts all across East Texas.

Community Healthcore is proudly certified as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) as we provide a comprehensive collection of services needed to create access, stabilize people in crisis, and provide the necessary treatment for those with the most serious, complex mental illnesses and substance use disorders in our communities.

As a Joint Commission Accredited Behavioral Health Care organization, we are committed to providing safe, high quality care, treatment, and services to everyone we serve.
