Since October 1988, the East Texas Food Bank, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has provided food to over 200 partner agencies and food programs, in an effort to feed children, the working poor and seniors throughout 26 counties in East Texas. A member of Feeding America, The East Texas Food Bank is one of four food banks that serves the Gulf Coast Region who are pre-staged with food products from Feeding America, to respond to disasters.

Our food sources include a variety of national, regional and local food manufacturers, brokers, wholesalers, and retailers donate food to the East Texas Food Bank. Donated food includes overproduced or discontinued items, frozen foods, dairy products, mislabeled goods, dented cans, day-old breads and pastries, and odd-sized produce. Local farmers and gardeners provide fresh produce. Individuals, businesses and community organizations support the East Texas Food Bank through various canned food drives throughout the year.

**History of Arts!Longview Organization**
Arts!Longview is a 501(c)3 organization formed in 2019. The organization was created after an inspirational Longview Chamber of Commerce Inter-City visit to Waco in 2018, which included their cultural district. Following the trip, a local task force was created to pursue the possibility of a cultural district designation from the Texas Commission on the Arts. In 2019, the task force applied for and was granted acceptance as an official Texas Cultural District. The nonprofit was formed to oversee the ongoing effort to promote and develop the district.

Environment and Nature preservation & Entertainment services

The Longview Arboretum and Nature Center is a privately managed arboretum garden in the heart of Longview. Like many other arboretums across our nation, a respectful partnership exists between the City of Longview and the Board of the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center regarding the sustainability of this massive endeavor. This public/private partnership allows for cultivation, development, private investment, and collaborative maintenance on 26-acres between the Longview Convention Complex and Grace Creek tributary.

Opened Saturday, November 2, 2019, the Longview Arboretum began it's role as a privately managed arboretum devoted to revealing the unique eco-system of East Texas in a beautiful and thoughtful manner. The mission to educate our community, stimulate the senses, and create a positive relationship to nature is one that the Board of Directors pursues for the future. Our executive director, Steven Chamblee directs the growth, plantings, events, and exhibits of the Longview Arboretum. Please stop by and say hello if you see him in the gardens.

This ever-growing garden is a living testament to a love of community, and the soul enriching quality of spending time in nature.

The mission of the East Texas Food Bank Tyler Resource Center is to fight hunger and feed hope in East Texas. The Tyler Resource Center is a program of ETFB located in West Tyler.

The goal of the Tyler Resource Center is to provide a one-stop-shop of wraparound services with a food pantry, benefits assistance and other support services.

Ultimately, the Longview High School Choir seeks to empower our students with the skills, confidence, and passion necessary to become lifelong advocates and ambassadors for choral music. We aspire to create a lasting musical legacy that reflects our commitment to artistic integrity, cultural appreciation, and the transformative power of music in the lives of our students and community.

**Eligibility Requirements:** 
Any student enrolled as a full time student at Longview High School is welcome to join the Lobo Choir. There are 2 sign up choirs and 1 auditioned / varsity choir. In most cases a student will spend at least 1 year in the non-auditioned choir to develop the skills needed for the varsity choir. Auditions for the varsity choir occur all year long ,with participation and attendance both in and out of class, and at the end of each school year with a singing and sight-reading audition.

- Donations towards our travel to France in the summer of 2024 to perform at the 80th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy on June 6th. The cost is $2600 per student + $1600 air travel.

- Portable sound system
- Charter Bus Funding for out of town trips to perform at the Dallas Mavericks Game.
- Donations toward the purchase of Dallas Mavericks tickets so that students performing do not have to pay for their ticket. The tickets are $80 each

The Bailey School is a Longview ISD elementary school. Besides being one of the two elementary schools in East Texas that offer the dual language program and the Montessori program for 1st & 2nd grade, The Bailey School is now recommended for IB authorization. The IB program at The Bailey School provides a $30,000 private school world-recognized education for FREE! Hello, we are Read to Me East Texas! We are a nonprofit organization founded by a kindergarten teacher of 30+ years who has seen the impact of having students who have been read to by their parents since birth. Here at Read to me, we understand the importance of reading to your children when they are babies to help them recognize and learn words and sounds, not only does it help them with their education, but your baby also bonds with you the more they hear your voice!

¡Hola, somos Read to Me East Texas! Somos una organización sin fines de lucro fundada por una maestra de kindergarten con más de 30 años de experiencia, quien ha visto el impacto de que los estudiantes hayan sido leídos por sus padres desde que nacieron. Aquí en Read to Me, entendemos la importancia de leerles a sus hijos cuando son bebés para ayudarles a reconocer y aprender palabras y sonidos.
