Hannah House Ministries was founded in 1999 by Glennis and Gary Woodall. Glennis had a passion to love God and to reach women who have found themselves in a crisis pregnancy situation.  Hannah House was located in Glen Rose, Texas until 2010 when they relocated to Gilmer, Texas. 

Today, Melanie and Alan Wright oversee Hannah House.  Hannah House Ministries has now expanded on the 60 acres by adding the Gathering Place.  The Gathering Place, finished in 2021, can now house up to four women who are needing a home during their pregnancies. 

Hannah House welcomes each woman where they are on their journey.  Hannah House is located on 60 acres of beautiful and peaceful countryside. This provides our girls with the opportunity to listen and hear God, clear of distractions, so they are able to make the best decisions for their child and themselves.

The Hallsville Outreach Center was opened in January 2010 to serve the needs of our community.  We are located in Cullen Hall on North Central Street and currently provide food and clothing to families in need.  Families can receive a food box or "shop" for the food they need once per month and one per household-with the exception of food left on our outside shelves. These donations are for the whole community.  All food and monetary donations go directly to the Outreach Center and are very much appreciated.  The Center welcomes anyone wishing to volunteer.

North East Texas Homeless Consortium is an opportunity for agencies of all kinds to share their unique resources and/or services for people experiencing homelessness with fellow community members. It also provides you with the space to learn about what other organizations have to offer and how you can work together to best serve people. Participate in this community-wide effort to end homelessness with us!

Mayor’s Task Force on Homelessness
In March of 2017, Longview Mayor Andy Mack put together a team of local service organizations called the Mayor’s Task Force on Homelessness. In general, the team members consisted of groups and individuals that have assisted in serving the homeless populations over the years in many ways. The Mayor wanted a centralized group to come together and share their experiences and needs in serving this vulnerable population and to gather information about what more is needed to serve the homeless. Mayor Mack felt that it was a moral obligation to offer additional support and explore ways to collectively address the areas homeless. The members of the task force placed initial efforts in four areas of focus: situational homelessness, sheltered homelessness, unsheltered homelessness, and chronic unsheltered homelessness.

Initial outcomes determined by the task force included service fairs – a way to offer centralized services and information and also explore options for additional personnel which initiated a plan to explore securing a Volunteer in Service to American (VISTA) through the office of Texas Homeless Network. This led to the ongoing partnership with the Northeast Texas Homeless Network and the City of Longview which will offer sustainability to the mission.

Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. Support Groups, inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital

Longview Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 36-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced a loss of function due to an injury or illness. We offer intensive, patient-focused, specialized rehabilitation services.

Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care to patients in their recovery journey. We offer customized, intensive rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Our hospital strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.

**For those acute patients who qualify, research shows inpatient rehabilitation hospitals are an effective setting for:**

- Walking and transferring independently again
- Going home quickly
- Short lengths of stay
- Receiving daily physician and nurse attention
- Minimizing hospital readmission

**Distinguishing Features of Inpatient Rehabilitation:**

- Daily accessible physician specially trained in rehab
- Low patient-to-rehab nurse ratio goal: 5-7 patients to one rehab nurse
- Intensive therapy with short lengths of stay
- Transfer to an inpatient rehabilitation hospital does not require full three-day stay at a short-term acute care hospital
- 15 hours/week of therapy required

Forest Park Middle School is an IB authorized Longview ISD campus that implements the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The MYP encourages students aged 11 to 16 to make practical connections between their studies and the real world, preparing them for success in further study and in life. The MYP aims to develop active learners and internationally minded young people who can empathize with others and pursue lives of purpose and meaning.
The programme empowers students to inquire into a wide range of issues and ideas of significance locally, nationally and globally. The result is young people who are creative, critical and reflective thinkers. We create a family atmosphere by teaching our students to have pride in their environment, learning to get along with others, and follow rules that are acceptable for our entire campus community.

La Escuela Secundaria Forest Park es un campus autorizado por IB del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Longview que implementa el Programa de Años Intermedios (PAI). El PAI alienta a los estudiantes de 11 a 16 años a establecer conexiones prácticas entre sus estudios y el mundo real, preparándolos para el éxito en estudios posteriores y en la vida. El PAI tiene como objetivo desarrollar aprendices activos y jóvenes de mentalidad internacional que puedan empatizar con otros y llevar vidas de propósito y significado.
El programa capacita a los estudiantes para investigar una amplia gama de problemas e ideas de importancia a nivel local, nacional y global.
